This is the Press Room for the Alice in Wonderland Sculpture Project
Sculptor Bridgette Mongeon is creating a monumental bronze sculpture of the Mad Hatter's Tea Party. In honor of the 150th anniversary of Lewis Carroll's story, she is hiding 150 elements in the bronze scene. She will install the sculpture in 2016, the date and place will soon be announced. The artist is also creating two books surrounding this project. The first is a process that depicts the traditional sculpture process along with the digital technology that she uses in the creation of the monumental sculpture. This new book is similar to her recent book 3D Technology in Fine Art and Craft: Exploring 3D Printing, Scanning, Sculpting, and Milling. The second book is a field guide that she will write in Carrollian style. The poems, riddles, rhymes help individuals to find the 150 elements.
