The Sculpting Process

The Newsboy- Part 1

Texas Artist Bridgette Mongeon created a life-size newsboy sculpture for the Texas Press Association. This is a documentation of the process and the inspiration behind this creation as well as the small maquette, that was originally documented as an online journal on the artist's web site.http://www.creativesculpture.com

The Tabor City Tribune has purchased the second in the edition of the paper and changed the bronze newspaper to match their historical headline. The artist is presently seeking other historical headlines for the remaining sculptures in the edition.

The Newsboy- Part 2

Artist Bridgette Mongeon shares the process behind the mold making, and casting of the life-size bronze newsboys. The artwork was originally created for the Texas Press Association. The life-size sculpture, second in the edition of ten has been created for the Tabor City Tribune and "Billy" the newsboy perpetually hawks their historical headline. The artist searches for eight more historical headlines to be carved in bronze.

Sculpting of the Dick Hathaway Memorial

Artist Bridgette Mongeon who specializes in posthumous sculpture, creates a life-size bronze of professor Richard Hathaway from Vermont College Union Institute. It is for the friends, family, and loved ones of Vermont. The Sculpture has become a part of her book "Bringing to Life the Spirit of the Deceased- A Sculptor's Journey."

The sculpture will be installed in Spring of 2008 in Montpelier, Vermont at the TW Wood Gallery. Ms. Mongeon is presently seeking a publisher for her book.

The Foundry Process of the Dick Hathaway Memorial

Artist Bridgette Mongeon had documented the sculpting of the Dick Hathaway memorial sculpture in a previous video. In this video she takes you through the process of bronze casting as she prepares for the unveiling of the sculpture scheduled for September 25, 2008 at the TW Wood Gallery in Montpelier, Vermont.

Unveiling of the Richard Hathaway Memorial

On Thursday, September 25th 2008 the sculpture of Professor Richard Hathaway was installed and then unveiled in Montpelier, Vermont on the Vermont College of Fine Arts Campus outside of the TW Wood Gallery.

The Dick Hathaway sculpture along with an angel traveled 1,948 miles from the artist Bridgette Mongeon's Houston, Texas sculpture studio to Montpelier, Vermont. The exit of the sculpture from Texas was not without travail as Hurricane Ike barreled down on the Gulf Coast causing great devastation. This video documents the travels of the sculptures, along with the delivery, unveiling and emotion surrounding the love of Professor Richard Hathaway and angel Baby Jenna Mangini.

The video is part three in the documentation of the creation of the Richard Hathaway memorial.

Professor Richard Hathaway Speaks on Progressive Education

In loving memory of Richard Hathaway a beloved professor who believed in progressive education and history. The video is from Vermont College graduation ceremony. God's Word Collectible Series

Love Languages.

This movie introduces The Generations Podcast- The Generation's podcast presented by God's Word Collectible gifts consists of three generations of Christian women that discuss different issues and aspects of life. In February 2009 the women talk about Dr. Gary Chapman's book, "The Five Love Languages" and how it played a role in their lives. A second February 2009 podcast is an interview with the author, Gary Chapman, where he talks about the importance of love languages when you are single, or have children and even with your walk with God.
